Kaitlin Simone DiMaggio, Esq.

My Story

Kaitlin Simone DiMaggio is a founding member of DiMaggio | Mize, where she combines her legal expertise with a strong foundation in counseling to guide individuals and families through conflict with fairness and empathy. Her decision to pursue law was inspired by a deeply personal mission—advocating for justice after a family member’s wrongful life sentence without parole.

A graduate of the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, Kaitlin completed over 350 hours of pro bono work in post-conviction cases, building her skills in negotiation, case analysis, and advocacy for those facing severe injustices. She also holds a Master of Counseling degree from Arizona State University and remains a licensed therapist, a background that uniquely equips her to understand the human side of disputes and foster constructive dialogue.

Before becoming an attorney, Kaitlin worked as a licensed therapist facilitating individual and group sessions for individuals with domestic violence and substance-related convictions. She later advanced to Clinical Supervisor and Program Manager, overseeing offender treatment and government-contracted rehabilitation programs. These roles sharpened her ability to manage high-conflict situations, mediate differing perspectives, and help people find common ground.

In her legal career, Kaitlin has represented clients in both criminal and family law, with extensive experience in domestic violence, sexual offenses, DUIs, custody disputes, divorce, and child support matters. This breadth of practice gives her an in-depth understanding of the complex personal and legal dynamics that often drive disputes.

Licensed by the State Bar of Arizona, Kaitlin is an active member of the American Bar Association, Arizona Attorneys for Criminal Justice, the Criminal Justice Reform Team of the Arizona Faith Network, and the Healthy Families Arizona Advisory Board. Whether in the courtroom or the mediation room, Kaitlin draws on her dual expertise in law and counseling to help parties navigate conflict with clarity, compassion, and respect.
